Walking with
the Prophets

began in 2013 with Round 1. The goal seemed pretty simple: Learn 1 perek a week and in 3 years complete Neviim Rishonim. After completing this cycle a trip to Israel would be planned with the participants to walk with the prophets. It took a little longer than 3 years and the group got a little carried away and learned Yirmiyahu as well as several other non-Neviim Rishonim books. On the trip in November of 2022 the idea was born to make this Shiur virtual and allow for greater participation. The current cycle will iy"H conclude in January 2026.
Rabbi Michael Merrill

Rabbi Michael Merrill has been in Jewish Education for nearly 25 years. He has taught third grade - adults. His passion is teaching Tanach. 16 years ago he started teaching the parsha each week and that ignited a spark to try to make the Parsha accessible and real for adults. A few years later he started giving a weekly Navi Shiur. It was there that he saw and learned things that he wished he could have learned much earlier in life. This derech of learning inspired him to learn and teach more Tanach. Upon his Aliyah in 2021 he started walking the land daily and has found learning Tanach in the place it happened is eye opening.
